Tatiana Reuil

Intercultural Strategist, Researcher, Educator & Science Communicator.

Turning culture shock into confident travel through research-based storytelling and culturally intelligent communication.

I help destinations, travel brands, and global audiences understand one of the most underestimated forces in travel decision-making: culture.

Because travelers don’t just choose places.
They choose how safe, prepared, and capable they feel navigating the unknown.

About

Where Research Meets Real-World Travel

I am a Communication Scientist (Degree in Communication Sciences, University of Buenos Aires) specialized in cultural studies, intercultural communication, global processes, and discourse analysis.

My work sits at the intersection of:

  • Intercultural research
  • Education and training
  • Behavioral insights in travel decision-making
  • Science communication through digital content
  • Responsible and culturally aware tourism

I translate complex intercultural concepts into clear, practical guidance that helps people — and organizations — navigate cultural differences with confidence.

Today, I do this through consulting, education, and content strategy for the travel industry, while also communicating science to thousands of travelers worldwide through digital platforms.

A Lifelong Curiosity About How Humans Live Across Cultures

My fascination with cultures started early.

Studying abroad in Oxford and Oslo, and later traveling across more than 40 cities, didn’t just expose me to new places — it exposed me to new ways of thinking, behaving, and understanding reality.

Those experiences raised questions that shaped my career:

  • Why do people behave so differently across cultures?
  • Why do travelers feel overwhelmed in unfamiliar environments?
  • What makes some people adapt easily while others struggle?

Studying social sciences gave me the tools to connect those dots.

And eventually, to help others do the same.

Founder of Viajá Culturas:

Science Communication for Travelers

In 2018, inspired by the idea “create what you wish existed,” I founded Viajá Culturas, an educational platform dedicated to interculturality, cultural adaptation, and culture shock.

What started as a science-communication project became a global community where travelers learn to:

  • Understand cultural differences
  • Navigate culture shock
  • Develop critical thinking about travel
  • Travel responsibly and respectfully

The content now spans multiple formats — social media, long-form video, podcast, and educational resources — and has supported thousands of travelers, expats, and migrants in their international experiences.

One planet. Many worlds.

World Economic Forum Author

I am also an author for the World Economic Forum, where I have published articles on interculturality, remote work, and global collaboration.

What Drives Me

I believe travel can expand minds — but only when people are prepared to engage with difference.
Without cultural understanding, travel can create anxiety, misinterpretation, frustration and disconnection.
With the right guidance, it creates confidence, curiosity, empathy and meaningful human connection.

That transformation is what I dedicate my work to.

Let’s connect!

Today, I work with travel brands, destinations, and organizations that want to:

  • Build culturally intelligent communication
  • Prepare travelers before they book and before they arrive
  • Create responsible, human-centered travel experiences
  • Connect with audiences through education, not just promotion

Because culture readiness is not a soft concept.

It is a strategic advantage.

If you believe travel should expand people — not just move them — we will probably work well together.
